Signal Strength : This small & simple to use utility monitors
your DW6000 signal strength, and displays it on your screen.
The intervals at which it checks the signal is user-configurable.
It
can be run minimized in the system tray too !

DS Look Angle Calculator : This utility is designed
for users who take their HughesNet system on-the-road with them.
Typically RV / camping folks !
With this, you can
enter your Long. & Lat. (or just your zip code !) , select the
satellite you use, and it the calculator will show & tell you
where to point your dish !
The zip-code based Long. &
Lat. finder is handy on it's own for general dish pointing anywhere
!

DPC Manager: & DPC Remote : Two classic utilities ! DPC Manager works
with both the old 1-Way & (hosted) 2-Way systems. For 1-Way
systems, it can initiate the special dialup commands. For both 1 &
2-Way it can the status of your DPC modem & provide that data
to client computers. DPC Remote is the companion
program thatallows you to remotely control the satellite
connection to the
client computers.
Point-4020 : Originally written for the DW4020 & DW6000,
this
utility also works fine on the newer DW7000 systems !
Point
4020 is another utility for RV'ers who like to take their D'Way on
the road with them. The Long. & Lat settings in those modems
can't (normally) be changed by the end user, which prevents them from
being used while traveling. Point-4020 can edit your modems internal
Long. & Lat settings, allowing you to bring the internet with
you ! Kudos go to John Watson & Don "DBirdman" Bradner
for this
fantastic utility !
DPC Tray : DPC Tray was written
originally for DirecPC Classic, but would also work fine on the DW3000.
It's basically used to keep your
dial-up connection alive during idle
minutes.
Upsetream Registry Patch (Win2K) &(WinXP) : This registry patch helps many DirecWay 2-Way users
improve their upstream speeds. Don't expect
miracles .. but when things
are going slow, every little bit helps !
6000 Keep-Alive
: Another utility for RV'ers, 6000 Keep-Alive regularly fetches
a given page .. thus accessing the internet & keeping the DW6000
Web Accelerator alive ! Chalk-up another one for site member
